1st Snowfall!

Can you believe it?! It didn't accumulate to much but our first snowfall of the year happened today. It was a beautiful day yesterday. I believe it was in the high 50's maybe even 60. Today brought cold, extremely windy, wet snow.

My friend Kim came today with her kids and husband. Kim helped us pick out the Usborne books for the party I had. It was fun to see them, because it has been a long time since we had seen them. My party turned out very good. I had a lot of outside orders so that helped.

After they left, Jason and the kids went outside to play in the snow. It took a while to round up all the snow gear, hats , gloves and snow pants, but before I knew it there was a snowman on the swing set, ready to go for a slide:) The kids had fun throwing snowballs at daddy too.

Our week

After all the excitement over the weekend. We were right back in the groove of things on Monday morning. I got Alexis on the bus and then I decided it was the day to get back in shape:) So I hopped up on the treadmill and said I am sorry to him for not walking on him for so long! And got back in the groove of things:) So far so good!

Our days kind of blur into each other. The kids keep me on the run between preschool, kindergarten and gymnastics. And everything else in between. So here are some pictures from our week.

I'll start off with little Abigail. She gets bigger everyday I see her.
Here she is sleeping peacefully

She has become a lot more alert these days

And gives the cutest little melt your heart smiles

And then the strangest thing happened. I think it is anyways. Brayden was writing his name of the opposite side of this color page and ran out of room. So he flipped the page over and started writing his name backwards and managed to perfectly write it so if you put it up to a mirror it would look normal. Hmmm. I wonder if that means something?

Then today we went back to the Apple Orchard because we ran out of apples, except we only had Riley, Abigail, Brayden and my Mom.

Abigail slept the whole time. She had a great time!

Tomorrow we are going to do a little shopping, Jason and I might even go on a date, and then on Sunday I have my Usborne book party. If anyone is interested in any books just click on the link: http://www.ubah.com/ecommerce/main.asp?sid=E2049&gid=69886311&HID=HOS127335

A Sad Saturday:)

Saturday after Brian and Michelle left we spent the morning/afternoon outside. It was a beautiful Fall day. However it was also a sad day because the docks and boats were coming out of the lake.

Alexis found a frog when she was raking

Alexis' pile of leaves

Brayden got into the action. Alexis put him to work collecting leaves from around the bushes. He was putting them in the back of the tractor and dumping them in her pile.

A little dew on the grass.
Dad and Jason set out the weighters so they could get in the cold lake water.

A toasty fire

Brayden helped grandpa drive the tractor

I helped my dad mow the grass/collect the leaves while they brought in the dock. The kids helped me dump it out.
Later on Jason went to a Hockey game in Mankato. He met one of his coworkers in St. Peter, ate, and headed to the game. It sounded like they had a fun time.

A fun Sunday

Sunday afternoon was super nice. I decided to try to get in some last fishing for the year. Alexis wanted to try too. I caught a couple bass, one of which was over a foot long:)

Here is Brayden fishing with Jason and my Dad watching

Alexis didn't catch anything but had fun trying

While Alexis fished, Brayden started to walk in the water with his rainboots on. Well he realized that he had a hole in his boot:) He was having so much fun splashing in the lake that Alexis had to join in!

Both kids were soaking wet and a bit chilly. Luckily grandma had an extra set of clothes

We ended the day by cooking hamburgers over the fire. Another fun weekend at the lake.

Last Friday(warning lots of pictures)

The kids all slept through the night. I was a little worried when we woke up though, because it was rainy and cold. My mom and I had made plans to go to the Apple Orchard to pick apples with the kids. We decided to bundle up the kids in winter jackets:( and head over to the Nature Center in town first. It was sprinkling a little when we started out but the kids didn't care they were having fun walking on the path and finding leaves.

Alexis was a bit disappointed there were no turtles in the pond. Here she is with Nicholas.

The lookout area, you can see the river in the background

I asked a silly question. Are you guys hungry? (They all came running!)

We decided to stop in the indoor area before we left.

Looking for birds just like grandpa

A favorite lunch spot with the kids, McDonald's.

After lunch the rain had stopped and we decided to head to the apple orchard. The kids had fun looking at the pumpkins...

Smelling the flowers...

Then it was time to pick some apples, first I had to confine Nathan(to get the stroller out of the car) and it looked like so much fun they all wanted to get in:)

Yummy!!

Time to go, we have out bag of apples now.
We all had a great time, especially eating the apples.
