Memorial Day

We enjoyed a fun Memorial Day at the lake. We did a little fishing, the sunnies weren't to active. We caught a few little ones off the dock and a couple Northern when we took the pontoon out into the lake. The kids decided to spend a little time in the lake, Brrr.
Brayden had fun climbing on the rocks and digging in the sand
Couldn't pick one, so I decided to show both:)

I hope you all have a wonderful week! I'm sure I'll have stories and pictures to share when we come home. Hopefully lots of big fish pictures:)

Last night...

Once we unpacked and settled into our room. The kids had there suits and goggles on and were ready for the pool
It's been quite a while since we had been in the water and Brayden was a little scared at first. He sat on the chair at one of the tables and watched. There were a bunch of kids in the pool, with a birthday party going on. He finally decided to join in on the fun and his big smile emerged:)
Alexis doing gymnastics on Daddy's back
Jason trying to pull Brayden in(he didn't want to jump, if you can't tell:))
Both the kids on Daddy's back just before we left to order pizza, Yummy!
We went back after we ate and had a fun time swimming. There wasn't as many kids in the pool then.
I think we tired them out:) Alexis isn't used to sharing her bed with anyone. Brayden didn't even flinch when she swung her foot over on top of him!

Grandma Jean:)

We went up north today to visit with Grandma Jean. We were up early this morning and took the two hour drive north. It was so fun to see her, the kids had a great time. She had all kinds of fun toys and trinkets for the kids. Oh yes and don't forget about all the food she made for us for lunch. We took a few different walks down to the road and tried to get the neighbors horses to come over to us. They were too busy trying to keep the knats off of them. They wouldn't even come over for our sweet corn cobs. We brought the kids bikes with and they enjoyed riding them. We even got to see a deer and a lot of hummingbirds. We were told there was a bear in their backyard this morning, I'm glad he wasn't there when we were:) On the way home we surprised the kids and stopped at a hotel to spend the night and swim in the pool. They were so excited, Alexis even gave me a big hug and said thank you when we walked in the room:):):) more on the hotel tomorrow.

Doesn't it just make your eyes water... Alexis has her first bout of pink eye. I think we caught it early. Her eye isn't super red but boy does it itch her. The first time I went to put the drops in she wouldn't let me. I was at work with the four kids and grandma(who was such a great help today, THANK YOU!!!) because Brayden was scheduled to get his haircut and I had already canceled it once, when he was sick the week before. Alexis was crying in tears(drama and scared!) because she heard the pharmacist say that it might sting when we put the drops in(thank you pharmacist!!). Anyways she refused to let me do it and then she went and let one of coworkers put them in. Well at least the drops got in there:)
Later in the day we went outside and caught a few tiny grasshoppers...
and Brayden got to ride his new bike that grandma has been trying to find for a year. You can tell from the look on his face he was SO excited to be riding his very own bike:)

Alexis was riding her bike also:)
So Happy!!!
We are off to Grandma Jeans tomorrow. We just planned this trip at the last minute. We were planning on sticking around our house this weekend since we will be leaving in a week. We haven't seen Jason's mom in quite a while and so we decided to take a road trip up to see her. Should be a fun couple days:)

Alexis and Jason's trip to the zoo

Ask and you shall receive! I asked Jason to take lots of pictures and that is just what I got:) The kids had a great time at the zoo. The weather was a little chilly that morning but warmed up as the day progressed. There were so many parents there that Jason only ended up with Alexis and her friend Sydney.

It looks like they were exhausted!!!

Brayden's last day of preschool..

I dropped Brayden off at preschool this morning for the last time this school year. An hour later he was getting dropped off by a big school bus. The bus drove them out to the teachers house, which is on a resort just outside of town.
The first place the teachers brought them to was to see the minnows, leaches and worms. She went over the rules for catching the minnows. The main rule is only keep the minnows out of the water to the count of three:)
Brayden loved catching...
and releasing the minnows
He did a little sliding
played in the sand pile with his friends
By that time he was cold. Brrr it was cold by the lake and very windy. He is pretending not to hear his friend Owen. (not making eye contact)
Then it was time to eat inside the resort and say goodbye.
Again my little boy being stubborn:)...

Fishing, Tulips and A busy day ahead of us

The kids did a little fishing last weekend. They didn't last too long, it was cold out and the fish weren't biting yet.

The tulips are out here. They are my favorite flower:)

Braydens fever broke last night, finally!! He was feeling much better today. We all have a busy day tomorrow. Brayden and I will be going to a picnic for his last day of preschool. Jason and Alexis will be going to the zoo with her kindergarten class. She is SO excited, I'm pretty sure it will be an early morning for her. She will be up and dressed with her bed made before any of the rest of us get up! Jason has been instructed to take lots of pictures. I will have plenty of pictures from the picnic, it's nice to have two cameras now.
