We Bought a Trampoline

I've wanted to get the kids a trampoline for quite a while.  We found the perfect one this year.  Its a square one just the right size for Alexis to do tumbling on.  We are all enjoying it very much!

Canada #2

We decided before we left for Canada we wanted to go to the Wilderness again.  Which is the name of their excursion to Dore Lake.  There is pretty much only one way in to the lake.  Down an old mining road.  It is in much need of repair but will never be if the owners of the resort have anything to do with it.  It was about three miles down a road with many big water puddles for the 4 wheel drive vehicle to drop in and out of.  We had to stop once to remove a tree that had fallen on the trail.  He had a few stories of getting in holes and having to use the winch to get out.

There were five of us in the truck.  Here is a picture looking back after what we just went through.
This was a huge Beaver home area.  They had built up the side of this small area to make a pond.  This is looking out the side of the truck and we were almost even with the top.  It was amazing!
Marcel our guide got out to break a few branches off

Dad and Brian were in a boat and Marcel, Jason and I were in the other

Brians Big Walleye
Jasons Northern
One of Dads Walleyes
Another Walleye
We had a fun time on our excursion.  We were a little disappointed that the wind was blowing so much we had to stop fishing where the fish were biting really well.  We found a few other spots that we did ok at.
We enjoyed our time and of course would love to do it again.  Heres our catch, trying to stuff it in a cooler.

Canada

Jason and I had another chance to go to Canada this year with Dad and Brian.  We had a wonderful time.  With good fishing.

This is a loon that came up beside the boat and was cleaning itself right next to us.
The scenery on the lake is awesome
There were eagles flying around us all the time.  This one perched itself on a tree right by the boat.  It was watching us fish waiting for us to catch something.
Getting the tackle ready for our trek out on the lake

The day after we got there it was fathers day.  We had this boat towel created for dad.  It has his four grand kids names on it below a fish.

 Our cabin for the week
 One of Jason's fish
The Thursday that we were there it was Brians birthday.  I made him brownies but they didn't quite turn out.  (I forgot to add the eggs)  They were interesting...
The last day of our trip we finally caught a bigger fish.  Most of the fish we were catching during the week were keepers meaning they were under 18 inches.  This one I caught was a 24 inch.
On Thursday we went on a wilderness excursion.  Those will be in the next post

Landscaping

We have talked about doing the landscaping around our house for quite a while now.  The small rock from the back needed to be moved because the weeds were taking over the black paper that was laid down and there wasn't enough rock left to cover all the dirt and weeds up.  So mom got the wonderful idea to help us:)

Well when we started one project we had to start another because we knew we wanted the rock in a different area.  We spent a lot of time various different nights picking up rock and black paper.  On Saturday we  started early and spent all day moving flowers and rock around.  We were so exhausted by the time we finished.  But it is so nice now!  We are super happy with the result.  Now we just hope it all stays alive.  We were able to move things and not have to buy any plants.

Thank you for all your help mom.  Now onto the next project...

 Ryan, friend and kids
We all had such a fun  time camping together.  I wish I would have gotten family pictures of everyone but forgot that one little thing.  We also had an adventure getting home.  We followed both ryans home.  We noticed ryan o's camper tire was looking funny so we stopped on the side of the road.  They changed the tire and we were on our way.  Then while back on the freeway, ryan o's back hatch flew open on his camper.  So we called him back up and he stopped and shut it.  About mile down the road it happened again.  So we stopped again and he tied it up better this time.  Then about 15 minutes later we hear this huge boom and see rubber flying.  His other tire blew.  Luckily we were right by Jason's work and he knew where a tire place was.  We sent the Bauers on there way and we helped Ryan O.  Even with all the drama at the end, we had a great long weekend.
