Moving day for the swingset and big furniture

Sunday morning we woke up early. There was no time to sleep, we had breakfast to make and moving to do. The first project was to move the swing set. My dad was able to play with his tractor for a few hours.
Dad, Jason, Tom and Chuck all helped get the swing set and sand on my brother Chris' trailer.
Then they all drove out to our new house, along with Amy, Emmy, Michael, Jena and I. While Kelly, Lyndie and my mom stayed at our old house moving the big things into the enclosed trailer, and some of the boxes that were left along with a few things that needed packing. They were busy when we were gone and had the trailer full by the time we got back!

We found out a few days ago we will be closing on our new house on Wednesday! WooHoo:) We definitely will have a very thankful Thanksgiving! We are going to be busy painting and cleaning in the next week. We aren't exactly sure when we are moving into the new house yet. Maybe by Sunday, maybe not. We'll see how everything goes.

Isn't 7 a little early to...

be questioning about the realness of Santa Claus and the Easter bunny!?

The big question came the other night in the dark car(thank goodness she didn't see me all flustered in the front seat!). Oh yes and Jason was no help with this either!!

A-Mom, is Santa Claus real?

M-What do you think hunny?

A-Is he real?

M-Of course he is real!

A-Then how does he get in our house?

M-We leave the front door open for him(We didn't have a fire place)at our old house

A-You leave the front door open?

M-Well, No, we don't leave the front door open, we leave it unlocked.

A-Well how does the easter bunny get in our house? What if the cats chase him?

I really can't remember where the conversation went from here? But I think I convinced her that he is still real. With no help from my hubby who was holding back laughing in the front seat next to me!!!

Last night in our home=sleep over...

A little while ago we learned we were hosting a sleepover when Aunt Jenny came home, alone from California. Little did we know it would be the last night in our house:) We had a great time with lots of laughing!!!:) I had a lot of things all packed up in boxes and in the garage ready to go for our big move. So last Saturday(14th)we moved the boxes and a few of the smaller furniture items out and into their temporary home(my parents garage). Once that was moved we went home and got ready for our sleep over/party. Everyone arrived a little later giving us a little extra time to pack a few more things. Then the festivities began. A few of us bought take and bake pizzas and then others brought munchies. We were stuffed by the end of the night! We did a little playing board games and then we got into the euchre tournaments. Jen and I smoked the others:) We played on the computers/phones and just chatted(giggled)!

Saturday...

Saturday was mom's break day:) My mom has had a scrap booking day planned for a while now. So off I went for a little relaxing in front of my computer, digiscraping away:) It was so nice to be able to sit down and work on Alexis book. I am only 1 1/2 years behind on hers and 10 months behind on Braydens.
While we were scraping away, Jason and the kids ventured to the zoo. It was a gorgeous day, the sun was bright and shinny, and I think it was in the 60's! A bear? enjoying the sun
Smile...
Smile...( Daddy, I think they are suppose to go inside these:))
I was told Alexis climbed this rope climb and Brayden had enough after about 4 steps
Alexis, riding a big fish.
Brayden too:)
Hanging out in a spider web
It looks like they had a fun day:) Me too:)

Update on us...

I have been busy packing up our belongings and finalizing moving, selling and buying plans. We are moving out of our home on the 17th. That gives us, um, 9 1/2 days to get everything out! I've got a lot of packing left! We did end up coming to terms on the hobby farm after 4 days of waiting or was it 5, I don't remember. The bad news is we aren't able to close on the home we are moving to until the 2nd of December. So, our plans are to move in with my parents for three weeks. They very generously offered their home to us and we are very thankful for that.
These pictures are from when Grandma went to Alexis' school for Halloween. She helped oversee a project
Alexis really enjoyed the cupcake she frosted and decorated!!
Brayden is feeling much better! He is still letting out a cough once in a while but so much better! He is feeling well enough to get into trouble with his sister! Last night when I was upstairs making supper. The kids were downstairs watching cartoons(or so I thought!) All of a sudden I hear this horrendous crash, boom and a cry(pretty sure if was from fear of the mama coming down the stairs:)) Immediately Alexis says Brayden did it! He jumped off the ledge onto the couch and slipped. And then the immediate response of Brayden was. Alexis told me to do it. Alexis then said NO I didn't! Oh, we have our hands full with that little girl!!! So Brayden slipped and hit one of my big framed pictures which hit a couple of big vases(which are a painted thin wood). One of them is cracked in the middle and the frame is chipped in the corner. Memories... At least he didn't get hurt right! Oh, but I was very upset...

Craziness is happening right now...

So, we sold our home...(great new right!) Well yes and no! We(I guess that would be an I, because Jason doesn't seem to mind) are currently in panic mode, we are moving out of our home in 20 days and have no place to go! We haven't been able to come to terms on our dream hobby farm. So we wait, and wait, and wait. We gave them our final offer on Thursday night and their realtor is trying very hard to talk them into it! We have looking into a few different options, renting, building again and also buying a fixer upper. But we can't really go forward with anything until we know for sure if we are getting the hobby farm or not.
Wednesday night I brought Brayden into the ER because he was showing signs of the H1N1 virus. Our emergency room doesn't test for the flu so they sent us home with Tamiflu and I've been dealing with that ever since. It has been awful, the cough is absolutely terrible! He is actually looking pretty good in this picture(4 days later)
I made Brayden dress up and smile yesterday so I could get a few pictures, but I didn't let him go out trick or treating
I also had him dress up when grandma and grandpa dropped off his bag of goodies
But he quickly got undressed
Alexis and Daddy ventured in to town to do some trick or treating. Along the way they found our friends Tami and Riley and they walked and drove around together
Then they stopped to see Auntie Kelly
Tami and Riley
So we(I am) are trying to go with the flow but it is very overwhelming not knowing which way we(I am) are going... So we wait!
