Friends

Alexis had a friend(Grace) from gymnastics stay over in August. 

 They both got up skiing and tried to drop a ski.  Alexis was able to go about 20 feet on one ski before she fell.  She did so good!

 They also of course did a lot of tubing.  Jason had a hard time getting these guys off the tube.

Copper

I was checking out the Safe Sanctuary's listed dogs one night, and Copper jumped out to me and said choose me.  They were having an adoption day the next day so I contacted the owner of Safe and asked her about him.  We went the next day and met him and that was the end of our one dog household.   

 He is a very mellow dog, the cats are a little scared of him.  I think its because he is so much bigger than Halley

 We discovered shortly after we were home that he had a BAD case of the flees.  I have no idea how the previous owners didn't notice.  It was bad.  Luckily I had meds on hand to treat him with.  By the next night they were all gone.  We did a lot of cleaning, in the house and on him.  It's not easy lifting an 80 lb dog into the bath tub:)

We are definately going to be in trouble with this one...

 

Copper is one of the most mellow dogs I have ever known.  He doesn't run much and only barks when the doorbell rings.  We found out a few weeks ago that he has a thyroid problem so we have him on meds for that.  Which has perked him up a little bit.  He has started to taunt the cats.

VIsiting Grandma Jean

July 26

We went up to Grantsburg to visit Grandma Jean.  We brought the kids to play mini golf, we had done it together in past years and decided it would be a fun thing to do again.

 Brayden was a great sport and sat and smiled for me

 

 Alexis grabbed the golf balls that went in the water, 3 out of the 4:)

 We went to the little drive in, in town for lunch, so yummy!  Then we went back to her house for desert, she spoiled them with ice cream cones.

 Our visits always go so fast.  The kids ask about her a lot and miss her a ton.

More Lake Time

July 21st

Kelly, Mitch and Luke came to the lake and just happened to come on my birthday.  The kids again had a fun time on the tube

So many pictures so little time...

We had a wonderful summer full of sun and fun.  Back in June Brian, Michelle, Nick and Nate came up to visit.  We spent most all the days at the lake.  Here are the Cousins:
