The Cats:)

A few days ago I caught our cats doing something I have never seen them do before!

Pumba was hanging out on one of his favorite sleeping spots, when...

Bella jumped up on the chair and started grooming him! At first I thought she was biting him but then I looked closer and noticed she was licking around his ears:)

It may not seem too exciting, but I thought it was nice they are getting along so well. Since at the beginning Pumba was not too excited there was another animal in his territory!

But then after a couple minutes Pumba jumped down and laid down on Bella(when he does this you can't even see Bella!) And then attempted to bite her! So much for a nice moment! But I did get pictures so I know it happened:)

We lead such a exciting life that our weekend started out with cleaning the whole house. Then on Saturday. Alexis went to a friends birthday party and Brayden was off to the boat show with grandpa and grandma. That left me with more cleaning and I also got a wild hair and decided to empty all the toys out of the toy room and organize and clean in there.

Brayden helped me take some of the toys out before he left.

It actually didn't take too long to organize. I did rearrange it so the kids would discover some new old toys.

Now you see it...

Now you don't:)

The kids love to play down here. Now they will be able to find what they are looking for(for a week or until they get all unorganized again:)).

Later that night I had my work Christmas party. We rented a charter bus and were driven to the cities to go to a bowling ally/laser tag/restaurant. Lots of fun!

Snow Fun

It was finally a nice and warmer day today, low 30's:) After nap time Brayden, Riley, Abigail and I went outside to bask in the sunshine.

Here is Abigail before we went outside

The boys and I grabbed the shovels so we could shovel the driveway while Abi hung out in the stroller.

The boys had a fun time

After Alexis got off the bus we went in the backyard to slide down the hill and on the swingset

Alexis and Brayden took turns snowboard sliding.

Well its the 20th of January already where has the time gone? We really haven't been doing anything too exciting:) I have been trying hard to eat better and exercise more and have been doing a great job, so far! I'm down 11 pounds. Woo Hoo!!!

We started off th year by celebrating Christmas on New Years Eve with Tami, Ryan and the kids.

Here's Brayden ripping open his gift. Cars activity stuff. He loves it and colors with the crayons almost every day.

Alexis with her Bead set. She loves to make Bracelets for everyone. We've only had a few spill on the floor and the cats are always sure to be batting them around the floor.

The boys playing Hi Ho CherryO

Tami showed Alexis how to put the horses out to pasture and how to canter and trot with them. She was in heaven, actually I think they both were:)

The next day Jason tried to put one of Braydens toys together. It was a Knex dump truck. Well 2 1/2 hours later. It was together but it wasn't if you know what I mean!

Grandpa tried to help fix it...

But it just wouldn't work! Brayden was bummed(I think dad was too!) Now it is in a bag in the closet.

The next weekend I had a scrapbooking day with grandma and my SIL's Amy and Kelly. We had a fun time and I also got really caught up in my digibooks. Can't wait until the next one! Meanwhile Jason had the kids at home. The cats cuddled up to Alexis and took naps while Alexis watched a movie.

Here's a picture of how big Pumba really is! This is the same changing pad that I had Abigail on during the summer!

Speaking of Abigail here she is last week when she fell asleep in the high chair after she ate her cereal.

And finding her toes:)

The weather was below freezing cold here last week and Alexis even had off school last Thursday then Friday it was 2 hours late. Because of the temps being -20+ below in the mornings. I think they said we went around 72 hours with out being above zero. Brrr... So we have spent a lot of time inside playing. Riley and Brayden have become good buds and will go downstairs and play for hours on end. Yes they do squabble once in a while but it can always be settled.

Here's Riley and Abigail(she is rolling all over the place these days)

Last Friday I had the pleasure of watching my nephews Nathan and Nicholas for a few hours. My brother Brian came up from Iowa with the boys and decided to do a little shopping and then meet my dad for lunch. So the kids and I had a fun time playing:)
Here's Nathan pushing a chair around

and Nate and Nick on the trampoline

On Saturday, we dropped the kids off at my parents and then Jason and I helped at Feed my Starving Children(a place where you put together bags of dried food for starving children all over the world). It was so fun to help out! This was something that his company set up. There were around 22 of us there helping out along with two other groups. After that we had a date! We went out to lunch at Ruby Tuesdays and then went shopping at the EP mall. I got a lot of things done that I have been wanting to do. By that time the kids were at Aunt Kelly's house for the night. Jason had his work Christmas party in EP so that is why we hung out all day. His party was a lot of fun. We had a yummy dinner and then went and played cards(Blackjack). They also had a karaoke machine set up but didn't partake in that:) His company was celebrating their 15th year in business and Jason has been there all 15. It is fun to see how much they have grown since then! We won a few GC's and then we were on our way home. The next morning we slept in:) and then were off to Kelly and Chucks to pick up the kids. We stayed for Brunch and played a lot of Wii(it's very addicting, we might have to get one of those:)).
Yesterday and today there is no school because of MLK day and a teacher workshop. So Alexis has been my big helper with the boys. She has dressed them both up in dresses and danced with them. They also went outside and played in all the snow we have.
Here she is with Bella

Pics from Nov. and Dec.

These are pictures I just received a week or so ago from my SIL Kelly. Around Thanksgiving we went to visit their house when Lyndie was home. If you remember I had blogged about that then:)

Here is Brayden Snowboarding with Luke watching

Jason playing guitar hero

Self portrait with four Lyndie, Kelly and the kids(that has to be a record!)

Then these pictures are from when Kelly brought the kids to Disney on Ice and Chucky Cheese.
Alexis on a horse of course!

Brayden waving at Kelly from up above.

Another horse:)

The pics from the Ice show

I thought this was a funny picture! Doesn't look like Alexis wanted to share the popcorn:)
And the skating...

The kids had such a fun time.
Hopefully I will have another update tomorrow:)

Are you ready???

First off, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

We have been so busy having fun with Family and Friends I haven't had time to blog. So here you get it all at once. Our last couple weeks have flown by. I can't believe that it is January already. I will start off with what we continued to do throughout December(make yummy cookies) and these ones were my favorite:) Mmmm, they were so good!

The Tuesday before Christmas was Braydens preschool celebration. He again decided to be shy and not sing, just hung his head low and listened. He did ring his bells once:)

Here he is coloring baby Jesus in the manger

and eating cookies with Riley after a few projects.

Christmas Eve we spent at my parents home with my family

Alexis, Brayden and Nicholas enjoyed playing in the extra large box. Who needs Christmas presents!

Nicholas getting under the tree to get a present

Nathan enjoyed sitting on top of Alexis gift

Alexis received a stable from grandma and grandpa. She is in heaven:)

A few of Braydens gifts

Grandpa caught a truck with Braydens new fishing pole

The next morning was that special day when Santa came to our house. The kids were very happy to see they were on the good list this year. On a side note Alexis keeps asking how Santa makes all these toys. Or if he buys them from the store?

Our gifts to the kids. Bean bag chairs for their rooms. The kids love to sit in them.

After all the fun of opening our presents we were off to church and then back down to grandma and grandpa's house to play outside. The kids played on the little hill in the front yard.

Jason showed Nicholas how to fly and then how to roll backwards down the hill.

Grandpa and Brian took Alexis and Nicholas for a snowmobile ride.

After all the snow fun we were off to Amy and Tom's house for Christmas celebration with Jason's family. Alexis helped Amy open her gift before she left for work.

Brayden and Alexis got these pillows from their Aunt Jeni's family in California

There was lots of fun in the basement. We had our own band playing.

Later on in the week Jason and I took the kids sledding. The kids had a blast...

Oh yes and we did too

We made it all the way down without falling out

Then we built a snowman in my parents front yard

I think we are caught up now.
We celebrated New Years last night with Tami and Ryan and all the kids. We were in bed by 10:30:) didn't quite make it to the new year! We don't have any plans for the weekend. We both have to work tomorrow.
Now I am just working on my New Years Resolution:
Eating better
Exercise
So far so good!
