So Proud!!

Alexis has been bringing AR(Accelerated Reading) books home from school and she gets so excited to read them to anyone. So here is your bedtime story:)

Our zoo adventure- Freezing but worth it!

Our first spotting...a robin

The tiger was very friendly, right up by the glass.

Baby Piglets

Brayden has been in a bit of a funk this last week. Not sure exactly why, maybe because Alexis had spring break and was home, he didn't have preschool. I think he's growing has been waking up with pains in his ankles and legs. So today wasn't any different even though I thought it would be because we didn't have our daycare kids. But as soon as he saw this...
his eyes lit up and the real smile came out:)

Baby chicks
We walked up to the barn but took a ride back on the tractor/wagon.

Lost tooth # 6

Alexis lost her 6th tooth this morning. She was eating an apple slice for breakfast and I heard this scream come out of her. Her tooth was stuck in her apple. She pulled the apple out and her tooth was still hanging by a thread in her mouth. So I pulled it gently and it was out.

She may be in trouble if she looses anymore! We'll have to start feeding her applesauce and cheerios:)

Another Beautiful Day!

It wasn't as warm as the past two days, but we were still able to get outside and enjoy the afternoon. Alexis had gymnastics today after school. So I picked her up and we had a little time before it started. As we were going past the park I said "Do you guys want to play at the park for a little bit?" Silly question I know:)

They were so excited! Brayden literally went up and down the slide, oh a good 10 times. Over and over and over again

To think I could have driven right by and missed these happy, joyful faces:)
-My(I mean Our) camera was shipped today. It should be arriving on Friday:) YIPPEE!!!!!!!!!!
-Oh yes and we are all feeling much better. I took a few day off(today and tomorrow) just to make sure my cut heals before I start massaging again.

Another Gorgeous Day!!!

Today was absolutely beautiful, in the 60's:) The kids and I spent the day, except nap time, taking walks and playing outside. I had my dads camera(thanks dad!) So I was able to play around a little with it on the kids.

By the way I ordered my new camera yesterday:) It should be here by the end of the week:) Can't wait, although I have a TON to learn about it!

I played around a bit with the color on these last two, in my memory manager.

A much needed weekend!!

Saturday we went to visit grandma and grandpa who had been on vacation. It was a beautiful day. The sun was shinning we were able to go for a walk. Alexis got on her bike for the first time in at least 5 months.

The snow on the lake is starting to melt:)

Although it still is about 24 inch's thick:( It will all be gone soon, and the kids won't be walking on the water in a month:)(we hope)

Sunday we spent the morning and early afternoon cleaning out our garage and I finally was able to vacuum out my vehicle:):):):) I have been waiting so long to do this! I found things under the seats I didn't know where there!

After that was done we took a walk down to the lake and found grandma and grandpa enjoying the 56 degree day:) So we joined them on the deck! Notice the short sleeves:) It's suppose to be 60 tomorrow:)

Brayden decided it was time to enjoy what's left of the snow pile in their front yard

Then Grandpa helped him use his Christmas present. It took him a little bit to get used to casting but he had it figured out by the time we left. Now we just need the ice to melt and the worms to come out. It's almost fishing season:):):):):)

I think my boy needs a haircut:) Check out those sideburns!

My Turn:(

So I've had this cut on my knuckle for over a week maybe two weeks now. It's one of those that won't heal and you keep hitting and breaking it back open. Yesterday it seemed like it was infected a little. I got all the gunk out and then last night I noticed a red streak going up my wrist. This morning it was the same way and was all puffy and swollen. I could hardly bend it.

So I called up my friend who's a vet and asked her what she thought. She said make an appointment and get in right away, you have blood poisoning! She was absolutely right. A shot of medicine at the doctor and a strong prescription later we are home and ready for bed! The doctor said if it doesn't go away or gets worse this weekend to go to the ER. Lucky me!!

On a side note the weather is suppose to get warm next week. I can't wait!!!!!!!

Alexis update

Yesterday was AWFUL! Alexis slept through the night Monday and woke up with no fever. We were off to a good start. However after eating a piece of toast and jello along with her new medicine(which she started the night before and had no problems). She (and I) spent the whole morning in the bathroom. Me holding her hair back and rubbing her back:( Her with major stomach cramps and praying to the porcelain god:((over and over and over). I'm not kidding when I say all morning(3 hours). I even talked to our pediatrician 4 times yesterday and twice today. She took a few short naps but had major stomach cramps all afternoon. The pediatrician said if she wasn't able to keep anything down in the afternoon we were to go to the ER for an IV. She was pretty sure she had a case of the flu along with her Strep throat and also having a reaction to the medicine(cramps). Poor little thing was in so much pain. Luckily the vomiting stopped and we were just left with the cramps, by 5:00 when J came home she was feeling a lot better. I sent him to play with Brayden downstairs. Poor Brayden had no attention all day. Alexis and I hung out I read her a chapter book and then she had a little soup and toast and was feeling a lot better.

This morning was a lot better. She had stomach cramps for about 30 minutes after her meds but kept down all her food today and actually played quite a bit. Tomorrow we are going to try her going back to school. Hoping she will make it through the day.

We visited the doc today...

We went to the Ped today, Strep throat it is:( She also started getting a rash when we were there around her neck. Which she said was a sign of strep also along with the vomiting. After sleeping all afternoon

We are prepared here in this house for almost anything:)

After her first dose of her prescription the rash started to get worse. It increased onto her legs in big blotches. Baseball sized red blotches, and was super itchy. After calling the doc we decided she was having an allergic reaction to the prescription and not just the rash from the strep so we sent J to the pharmacy on his way home from work. She finally ate a piece of toast and some chicken noodle soup for dinner. Hoping it will stay down and she will be on the mend soon. Thanks for your thoughts:)
