Update on us

We have been keeping busy in the last week.

We have spent quite a bit of time fishing and just hanging out at the lake. Alexis continues to want to fish and fish and fish. Just like her mamma:) The sunnys were starting to make their nests and then the weather changed and was cooler for a few days. So that sent them back out into the deeper water. Hopefully they will come back this weekend so we can have another fish fry. We had one last Sunday. Speaking of fishing, just 8 days until my canadian fishing adventure:) WOOHOO, I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My work has been a little slow the last couple weeks but i am still keeping busy at home. It is really nice to be home some nights:)

Alexis had her last day of preschool yesterday. She was sad to be done. They had a picnic at the teachers house who owns a resort on a local lake. The kids had lots of fun. They played with some minnows, worms and leaches and also hungout on the playground. They ate their lunch and then were done. I will have to post some pictures when I get them on. I had to work in the afternoon so the kids went to Laura's house and I was able to go shopping by myself for a few hours before I went to work. It was so nice to go shopping without someone at my heals complaining that they were hungry:) I came home with a new purse, and some new clothes!

Alexis had some fun today with Grandma. She went shopping in the cities with her. They came home with lots of flowers to plant at grandmas house. It sounded like they had a great time.

Brayden, Riley and I had a quiet day at home. The weather was beautiful. I also got a great workout in which I haven't done for a little while.

The only plans we have for the weekend is to go fishing and riding bikes. The weather is suppose to cooperate for the most part. It may rain on Sunday but it's suppose to hit the 80 degree mark.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Quick update

We heard back a little while ago from Mayo and they said Braydens blood tests all came back normal. which is a good thing but we still don't know anything. Which is very discouraging.

Our day in Rochester plus a few extra pics at the end

Lets see where to start! Umm I basically don't know anymore today then I did yesterday about Brayden. We did find out he probably does not have any allergies. So where does that take us? Good Question!

So we met with the pediatric allergist today who was not personable and talked to us like we were doctors. I had to have her go over and tell us again what she meant and still don't understand. She sent us home with a prescription for 3 epi-pens incase Brayden has any breathing problems again with his hives.

I will try to explain what she said but ? I could have understood this wrong! She thinks his bodys antibodies fight something and produce antigens? or histamine? to fight it and that creates the hives. If you can understand that. I would love to hear more:) They did end up taking some bloodwork and she said they would hear back from that on monday. She had mentioned something about possible causes of this one being a bad liver? The other was possibly having hepatitis. So I think that is why she ordered the bloodwork. I am a bit nervous now, hoping that nothing is wrong with my little boy. Please say a prayer for him if you have a few seconds. I will let you know when I hear something. Probably not until next week!

Here are some pictures from our day. After our subway picnic on the lawn of the mayo building we found a park and the kids played. Then we stopped by DQ for a ice cream treat!

Mom please stop taking pictures!

Wednesday afternoon

Just hanging out!

digging in the sandbox

That's my girl:)

I can't believe how much Alexis loves fishing! She has found probably 200 worms(and I'm not kidding!) Grandpa has bought her a special carry case for the worms. The sunnies and perch have moved into the shallows. So we have been out catching them the last couple of nights. Here she was tonight getting her worm and catching one of her many fish!

Our Fiesta themed party turned out well:) I had a lot of help from my sister in laws and their families.

Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves especially the soon to be bride and groom! We even had a little food left over. The only thing we ran out of was the strawberries for the shortcake. I wasn't able to get the camera out for the first hour so there is a limited amout of pics!

Liz ended up breaking the pinata, Kermit make a crack in it before her:)

Brayden and Elliot discussing bugs
My mothers day was nice. The kids let me sleep in and brought me breakfast in bed with homemade cards and a gift certificate to go shopping:) Which I really need to do for myself! Later on we went down to my mom and dads and celebrated with mom. I did a little digital scrapbooking and had a relaxing afternoon while Brayden took a great nap. Then we went outside for a walk and bike ride. Before we knew it the day was ending. We had dinner at mom and dads and then came home to get the kids to bed.
Alexis had school this morning. After we picked her up we met Laura(daycare mom) at Burger King and the kids ran around the play area after eating. Now the house is quiet(Except for Brayden who is singing to himself) and here I am:) Hope you have a great week.
If I don't post before Thursday, we have Brayden's allergy appointment on Thursday, say a little pray for him please:)

Comparing pictures

2 Posts in one day!:)

My Hyacinth were so pretty last year, Yellow, Purple and Orange. I was so excited for them to come up this year. Then the snow and cold came and stunted my poor flowers growth! The purple one didn't even bloom:(

I hope to grab my dad's camera when everything starts blooming and take some better pictures, one's that don't focus on the background. I still really want to get a Canon Rebel but need to wait right now.

This Year:

This year:(This one looks ok, not as full though)

Last Year:
It has been so nice outside I haven't been in the house to update the blog:)

We have taken many walks and bike rides with the kids. We have also been searching for treasures in our sandbox and just basking in the sunlight.

I bought my flowers for my gardens on Sunday and was able to plant them on Monday. It feels so good to have some color out there. The other shrubs and perennials are beginning to sprout little green leaves and the tulips have popped up too. I think the last snowfall and cold air got to them though. We will see if they open up!

Mom has the day off tomorrow and we are going to go to the cities to hit some garage sales and do some shopping at Sam's club. We are having a Fiesta party for Jason's niece Erin and her fiance Matt on Saturday at out home. It should be lots of fun. But I need to get some shopping done first!
