The kids rooms

Here are the pictures I promised from the kids' rooms.

I know there isn't a lot in them right now. I have a lot of shopping to do. I also want to paint Alexis dresser set. It was my old set and I think it would look better white. I also have some safari animal stickers to put on the walls in Braydens room. But I have to wait a month after I painted to put them up. I also have a red bedskirt to put on Braydens bed. To brighten it up a little.

Boogy Boarding

Who needs ocean waves to boogy board? Not Alexis! She decided she wanted to use the boogy board today instead of the sled to go"wakeboarding" as she calls it. It is so nice to be able to go outside these days. The kids are having a blast.

Happy Birthday to Jason:)

Yes, my hubby turned another year older today. He wanted to spend his day with the kids at the zoo. So we went this morning! We saw the bird show for the first time, it was neat to see them so close. The dolphin show is not happening these days because they are training some new dolphins. Alexis was a bit bummed about that. We had a great time with everything else. It helped that it was a beautiful day(30 some degrees:)), the sun was finally shinning The kids were great except the walk to the car. They were tired and hungry so we just played a game of not walking on the cracks:)

After the zoo we went out to the Olive Garden. We were all stuffed and tired when we left!

Mommy why did they name it "tootsie roll"

I was stumped by this question today. So I looked it up on my favorite search engine. And walla found everything I needed to know about the tootsie roll. The guy who discovered it is from New York City and he named it after his daughter:) Here is a link if you would like to learn more:

Where has the week gone?

Whew, I can't believe it is almost Sunday. I guess once I get this posted it will be:)

I just finished painting the second coat on Braydens bedroom. Me and mom started last weekend. And today I put the second coat on. Yeah! It is done:) Now I get to decorate!

So Sunday night Monday morning my dad went to the ER because of some major pain in his stomach area.(Dad never is sick and can deal with a lot of pain so you know something is really wrong when he is at the doc). I have been worried about him all week. It took the docs all week to see him and decide what was wrong and what to do with him. To make a long story short he had surgery Friday to remove his gall bladder. We went to visit him that night at the hospital and now he is home tonight. He is a slow and recovering. But I think he is glad to not have the pain he was having earlier in the week! Thank goodness everything turned out ok. Sounds like he will have a week or two to recover before going back to work.

I have had a icky cold for a week but am feeling much better now.

Tuesday Alexis and Brayden both had gymnastics class. Last week was Braydens first day at gymnastics and he really seems to enjoy it. I haven't been able to watch him yet but Jason says he is pretty good. Just a note he is training for hockey in the fall:)

Wednesday I was invited to Mom's Tea at preschool. Brayden and I went to play and eat cookies and tea(juice). Alexis sang a few songs and then all the kids had made some flowers out of paper that were all wrapped up. It was so cute!

Valentines day was pretty uneventful. I had to work early so Jason came home and I left for work. There was card and a couple bags of candy(just what I don't need)in the car. It was nice of him to think of me:)

Speaking of work, CRAZY! It has been so busy at work these last two weeks. 14 massages! For a very part time person that is a lot. Keep them coming:):) I am so happy for that! I received the best compliment from a new client this week too. Which absolutely made my day. She said "that is the best massage I have had" :) It just makes me smile!!

We had our taxes done on Saturday and then I was off to work. When I got home the kids were outside with Jason sliding down the hill in the back yard. They had so much fun. I can't remember the last time the kids were outside playing. The weather has been so crazy here. Very cold and windy not much snow though. Tonight I finished painted Braydens room.

That was our week:) Hope you had a good one!

We had a busy weekend. We(me and mom) emptied Braydens room out and primed and painted it. We have one coat left but I ran out of paint. So I will have to get that tomorrow. I also worked on Saturday. I have been very busy at work and am loving it!

Something sad I learned about a little while ago. Namdaemun gate in Seoul has collapsed, they believe it was arson. Here is a picture of when we were in Seoul. And also a link to some news coverage of it in Korea.

Sad to say goodbye to Bonzai:(

Last Friday we had to say goodbye to our cuddly boy Bonz! He was a very loving cat and loved to climb into bed and sleep by us and meow in the morning when he thought it was time to wake up and have some cuddle time:)

I posted in a previous post about why we were giving him back so I won't go into detail. Just scroll down. Here are a few pictures before he left.

I have received an update on him and hear he is doing really well in his new home. We are very sad to not have him here and miss him a lot. Alexis talks about him all the time:(

He climbed right into the kennel on friday and layed down. Pumba didn't understand what was goin on:( He is very lonely too!

Where is my buddy Bonz going?

Brayden is now 3!

I still can't believe my little boy is 3 years old!

He had a fun day on Saturday! We had a few family and friends over to celebrate. He loved his cake, he even got to choose what he wanted on it. Mater, Lightning McQueen and a skateboard. His cousin Mitch is a skateboarder and he just loves him and looks up to him. He even said a few weeks ago he wanted to grow his hair out like his cousin Mitch. Although he also wanted to get a haircut last night He enjoyed opening his gifts and then was able to play with them a little bit before we went to his first Hockey game:) My cousin Brenden plays for the Holy Angels team in and they were playing a prep team in our town Shattuck-St. Marys. So we decide to go watch him play. Both kids really enjoyed the game and even sat down and watched the first one. The next game got a bit long for them. We were there for 5 hours and we had a blast. Now Brayden wants to play Hockey like his other cousin:) We will see. So anyways here are some pics from the party and Friday night when some friends stopped by to celebrate his birthday early, enjoy:
