Birthday Boy

Jason celebrated his birthday last Friday and we were able to go out to eat with the kids.  We went to the Thai restaurant in town and it was delicious.  When we got home he opened his gift and cards and then we indulged in his birthday cake, Yum:)

The past few days

We had a fun weekend.  After work on Friday, Jason played volleyball and Brayden was invited to his Aunt Amy's house.

So, Alexis and I went out on the town.  Alexis wanted to eat at Perkins, so we ate there and then, we decided to go to the Section gymnastics competition that was being hosted in our home town.  Alexis really enjoyed watching the girls compete.  She had a hard time watching all four events at the same time.  A couple of the teams were really good and were performing some really high level skills.

Saturday I was up early to go to the gym, and then was able to get together with my mom and two sister-in-laws to do some scrap booking.  I finished one digital book I was working on for our trip to San Diego and started another one.  It feels good to have those things accomplished.  Jason and the kids had a fun day with Grandpa splitting wood and having a campfire.  Jason even cooked them all dinner.  

Sunday we had another lazy stay at home day.  I did a little bit more scrapbooking and then picking up the house.

Monday the kids had off school for Presidents Day.  Brayden had an appt. in town so we went there and picked up some groceries for the week.  I took the kids out for lunch at a newer Thai restaurant in town.  It was super yummy.  After going home, we were back to town later in the day to meet Jason at my gym so I could workout and then he brought Alexis to swimming and I picked her up.  

Yes we do a lot of running around.

Sleepy Sunday

Last Sunday we had a day of rest. It is always nice when we can stay home and relax.  Alexis was at a friends all weekend.  So she curled up on the couch, above Jason, in the sun and fell asleep

Warm February

The kids were so excited to get out their roller blades last week and ride around outside.  We have had a seasonably warm winter, with not a lot of snow.

 The outside cats were happy also.

New to me car

Just before Christmas the dealership we were working with found us a car at the auction.  My other car was quickly going to cost us a lot of money(fuel pump, brakes, transmission).  So we decided to look for a new to us car.  Here is my car last week after I washed it in 40 degree weather in Febrauary.

Braydens 7th Birthday Party

Last Sunday we had Brayden's birthday party.  I found a recipe online for this yummy looking cake and decided we should use this cake to celebrate Braydens birthday.  Brayden requested smiley faces on his cake.  We were all happy with the results, Yummy!!

 All Brayden has asked for since Christmas has been Ninjago legos.  He was so excited when he opened this package and it said Ninjago on it:)

We sang him his Happy Birthday song and then cut up the cake.

 After the party ended our friends stayed over for a while and brought their just dance kids wii game.  The kids showed us their moves. 

February 2nd

 Every year on the kids birthdays we take them out for supper.  This year Brayden picked Perkins.  He opened up his presents from us.  Legos, Legos and more Legos.

He picked out a cheeseburger and french fries

and french silk pie for his birthday desert.

The day before Braydens birthday he lost his wiggly loose tooth.  He also got a haircut, we can see his eyebrows and ears again!

Ice Fishing

Two weeks ago Alexis kept asking if she could go fishing.  So last Sunday grandpa got out his portable house and the kids went with him to buy a few shiners.  Then off they went out to the lake.

Alexis Power Point Presentation

Just over a week ago we were invited to Alexis 3rd grade class to listen and watch all the kids presentations.  They all worked very hard researching and learning about a planet and the solar system.  Alexis chose to do her power point presentation on Saturn.  She did an amazing job.  She stood right up at the front of the room, filled with parents and another class, and spoke loud and clear.  I was so proud of her!  There schools grading system is a little different than most, they have a number score instead of a letter.  She scored a 4 the best that she could get:)

7 years ago today...

 A beautiful little boy, Kim, Sang Tae, was born 8 weeks early half the world away...

Today Brayden is a fun loving, helpful, lego loving, stubborn:), handsome little man.  Who has perfect handwriting and does amazing in math and continues to improve his reading.  We love you to the moon and back!  Happy Birthday 7th year old:)

A Warm January Day

It has been a very very mild winter especially compared to last year where at this time we had over 50 inches of snow that had already fallen.  We have no snow on the ground as of January 7th, 2012!  We spent the afternoon outside picking up sticks, enjoying a campfire and even roasting hot dogs for lunch.  Alexis enjoyed a little reading and lounging 

 We were dog sitting our friends dog Emma, so her and Halley had a fun time running around and chasing birds.

What a fun day!!!  Can't wait for Spring only a few short months away.
