Tuesday

On Tuesday we went with Aunt Kelly and the boys(Luke and Mitch) to the duck park. I had never been to this park and had always wanted to go. Alexis and Brayden have both been there with Kelly a few different times.

We had such a fun time!

We picked up 4 loaves of bread before we left town. Once we got there the ducks were ready to eat. They were on the grass but we scared them down into the water. But they didn't get to far away:) We all fed them, Brayden also fed himself! He kept his mouth full of Bread and ate the last piece all the way to the playground.

Some of the ducks.

The playground was full of fun, swings and a teeter totter.

Weeee

We continued our walk past the dam and I would say a couple miles down the walkway...

to the ice cream store:)

A little ways down the walkway back to the car there was a bench where Brayden and Alexis sat down and looked exhausted!

But don't let them fool you because this video below was taken after we returned from our walk! Aunt Kelly and the boys are always full of fun and joy! It's always a fun time when we are together:) Thank you for inviting us, we had a blast:)

Braydens got mail!

We received Braydens preschool information in the mail the other day. So I had Brayden sit down and fill some of it out. He had a great time drawing a self portrait, writing his name and listing his favorite food, color, and toy.

He is really excited to start preschool. He will start on the 9th and will be going 2 mornings a week.

Sunday-Nature Center pictures

Here are the pictures from the nature center on Sunday:

This is the turtle pond, you can tell it hasn't rained lately because the water was very icky! I'm sure the turtles are enjoying all the grub!

So sweet and innocent:)

I have no idea why these are sideways? Can't figure it out?

I LOVE this picture of Jason and the kids!

I will post when blogger lets me.

Blogger is being a pain tonight! All it wants to do is post my pictures sideways! So once I figure it out I will post the pictures.

Sunday we went to the Nature Center in town. We stayed and ventured around for about 2 1/2 hours. It was a fun time spent together. I couldn't believe how low the river was. In the spring the river was a good 3 feet deeper. There was no way to get on the rocks.

I can't believe how quickly the summer is coming to an end! The weather has changed a lot! We are finally able to open the windows and clear all the germs out of the house:)

Zoo Fun!

We made use of our zoo membership today. The kids and I invited mom to come to the zoo with us. She was excited to go with us.

There was a new exhibit at the zoo this year, that we hadn't been to yet, Russia's Grizzly Coast. They really did a great job of laying out this trail. It seemed like all the animals were out this morning laying around. The bears were right up next to the windows and also fishing for trout. So neat!

Some other things we did at the zoo included playing on the playground, watching the bird show, and riding the monorail which we had never been on before.

After a week of me laying around and not feeling so hot(nasty cold). We got out of the house today! Woo Hoo! It felt great to get out but I was so tired because of the heat and humidity.

We were off to the library today. Alexis got a checklist about a month ago when we were there. There are 20 clocks on the checklist. Every time you read or were read to you check off that amount of time on the clock. We have read a little over 10 hours in the last month. She was so excited to bring it in today. She received a bag with a bookmark, pin, and a few other things for the first 5 hours. The next 5 hours she received a free paperback book for. I think it took her about 5 minutes to pick out a book. She just couldn't decide. Although she looked through every book because she wanted one with a horse in it, and never found one. Ended up with a book that is a level 2 book she hopefully will be able to read all by herself in a few months:) Then we found some truck and digger books for Brayden. A few horse books and a gymnastics book for Alexis:) They are so predictable!

Alexis had gymnastics after that. Brayden and I took a walk by the river while we waited for Alexis to finish. We were able to see some geese(and a lot of geese landmines)!! Brayden would say oh there's another fresh one. Mom look another one! The thing is they were everywhere! We watched Alexis for a little bit. She is doing so good this summer. It helps that there are only 4 kids in her class. Versus about 20 during the school year! She loves going!

It's funny we were watching 10M platform Diving on TV the other night and she says out of the blue. Mom I want to do that it looks like fun:) I don't even know if she knew I dove when I was in high school! I'm sure likes and dislikes will be changing, but it's amazing to see her doing the same things I did when I was little:) I think she would be really good at soccer. We'll see what the future brings.

We are off to the zoo tomorrow. We haven't been there since the bear exhibit opened, so I am really excited to see it. Also we have never been on the monorail so I would like to try that out too:) There should be some pictures to post tomorrow night if my camera starts working right!

A fun weekend with Friends

We spent our weekend with our friends at the lake. Andrea, Logan, Colin and Hayden arrived on Friday night and we went out on the lake to ski.

Colin was super excited to go skiing this year

He got up but didn't get his legs straight. On Saturday he stood right up and went for a little while, no pictures of that though.

The moon was rising as Alexis went skiing

Brayden hanging out while the others skied

Saturday was more fun on the boat. Logan and the kids.

You will never believe that Brayden actually started this. He tried to push Alexis in the water it didn't end up the way he thought it would! As you can tell by the third picture!

Logan throwing Colin in the water

A happy smile!

Hayden was happy playing with the ski rope

Not too happy being in the water!

Their family. The wind and sun was in their faces

Brayden fell asleep sitting up in the boat after lunch

Hayden fell asleep too:)

The dads and older kids got on our friends slide and had some fun.

Now off to catch up on my sleep!
