First Day of School

Brayden started 1st Grade this year.  He has the same teacher that Alexis did.    

Alexis started 3rd Grade this year and has the best teacher(and as you can tell by the picture he is very tall)!  He is awesome, and goes above and beyond.

Another Fun Day on the Lake

Jasons sister and her family came to the lake to play.  Here are Mitch and Brayden trying to hand on to the tube.

 Brayden loves when Kellys kids come to visit.  They have so much fun together

 Prethi wasn't too sure about getting on the tube.  She got on with Adam and then her and Alexis got on together also.

We as usual ate lots of yummy food and enjoyed a pontoon ride also.

Fun Things we did this summer...

Brayden learned to kneeboard

 I love this picture:)  My mom decided she was going to tube one day and she did(I should mention she doesn't know how to swim and really never goes in the water).  As they were taking off I go this picture

 and once they leveled out it was all good:)

 Alexis skied without the rope connected to the skies

 and then Brayden did it but wasn't quite sure he liked it...

Sunflower

One of the kids final days of school last year.  Alexis brought a tiny sunflower home, probably about an inch tall.  Well she watered it and took care of it most of the summer and it grew into a huge sunflo!wer

Family Fun at the Lake

I updated my blogger and its changed, not sure how I like this but I have no choice:)  I will figure it out, but for now.  These pictures are not in the order I would like them to be...

My Brother and his family came up the weekend we came home from Mille Lac.  We got to spend more time on the lake and had a blast.  Here are our kids together.

Soccer

Brayden played in a summer soccer program and had a good time

however, by the end of the 6 week session, he had had enough. It would have helped if the couch knew what he was doing:) and was excited to be there.

He is currently in gymnastics and loving it, for now:)

Mille Lac Vacation- Final

We walked into town one night and found this huge chair that looked like a fun place to climb into.

There was only one day that we couldn't take the boat out during the day. It was super windy so we drove around the lake, and found a big walleye to take a picture or two in front of.

We went out fishing early one morning and we caught the sunrise

We also got chased off the lake one day because of lightning and rain

We also caught the sunset one night also.

We had such a fun time!:)

Mille Lac Vacation- Cont.

Fishing Fun! This was Alexis favorite part of fishing:) Reading about fishing...

It was so hot that the fish were hard to find, but we did find a few.

Mille Lac Vacation

Last Winter we talked about wanting to take the kids up north and staying at a resort. We talked my parents into going with us. We had such a relaxing and fun week. The kids enjoyed having grandpa throw them up and into air. Brayden just flew and we could hear them giggling from the shoreline:)

Grandma was a big help and watched the kids for us when we wanted to go fishing

The kids spent most of the week in the lake. Brayden even got bites from bugs in the sand from sitting in it so much.

It was so hot and humid the week we were up there that the water although a bit chilly felt good

The kids brought their goggles, fins and snorkles for swimming

Visiting Grandma Jean

We had a fun visit with Jason's mom in June

We brought up fresh strawberries from out garden and had lots of other good food. She taught the kids how to play the card game, spoons. Alexis tried to shuffle the deck.

Jean had cookie dough all mixed up and we made cut out cookies in the shape of horses. They were really good. We even saw a few deer from there windows eating out of the feeders in the woods.
