4 (Four!)

That is how many little critters(mice) we have found in our house. Two were caught in our mouse traps, one was dead under the fish tank(I think the cats got to that one). And the fourth one was brought upstairs alive by one of the cats. Jason and the cats ran around the basement trying to capture it. Jason was finally able to get it and kill it.

I don't think we have caught the mom and dad yet. So I am pretty sure there are more! I'm not sure where they got in but I believe it is somewhere in our utilty/laundry room.

Fun Times:)

Brayden is home from preschool today, he still had a fever this morning. But seems to be doing a little better, atleast he is playing. Bad news is I think I am catching a cold. His pediatrician called this morning to let us know his CRP rate was a little elevated too but she wasn't too concerened with it. She just said if his fever continues and he gets any more symptoms to bring him back in.

We made it to the doctor this morning. Turns out Brayden has another ear infection. I had her take some bloodwork, because I'm a paranoid mamma. I had a feeling in the back of my head that he had Kawasaki Disease again. But, it turns out his levels were good. His sedrate was a bit elevated but she thought that was from the ear infection. His white blood count was normal and the other one is pending. They will know tomorrow what that one is, but she wasn't too concerend about it. I am going to keep him home from school tomorrow because he is very congested also. Hoping he is feeling better by Thursday for his last day of preschool and their picnic at the teachers house.

Happy Mothers Day...

to me:) and our moms!

This Mothers Day all I asked for were some stepping stones from my garden:) So today we went and picked them up and then made a path in the flower garden. I am very excited to have them in, it looks so nice!

I hope all the mom's out there had a wonderful day:)

On a side note Brayden is sick again. He's had a fever since Friday. Praying it goes away soon, I might bring him in to the doctor tomorrow. Jason brought him in to a different clinic on Saturday and they said he sounded fine and sent him home. Saying it was just a virus. We'll see how he does tonight. He keeps spiking high fevers(104ish) in the middle of the night:(

Random Photos

Our weekend consisted of going to garage sales, enjoying the sun and getting some yardwork done. All of which was very successful! Now this week I am getting ready for my garage sale(praying for sun!). I can't wait to get rid of some of these tubs of clothes that are hanging out in my garage! Not much else going on. I added a ticker on my countdown to my vacation, I can't wait!! I've started dreaming(not kiding either!) about those fish already:)

My Lifeline is at the doctor too...

These bugs at our house sure have spread. My laptop is not working again(It's not a virus this time though)! Now I can't even get into the login area. I should have it back Monday or Tuesday:( Luckily I have a lot to do this weekend to keep me busy:) Have a fun weekend!

May is finally here!!

The flowers are starting to bloom but the bugs are still trapped in our house, somewhere! After Jason was sick last week, Brayden started up with a cold. I brought him in last Friday and found out he had Pneumonia again!! I also had Riley(from my daycare) checked out because he had a rash all over him. Found out he had Fifths disease. Saturday Alexis went to a friends house and came home complaining of a stomach ache. Sunday and Monday she had a fever and upper leg pains along with the stomach pains. Tuesday and Wednesday I sent her to school with no fever. She visited the nurse twice a day with no fever so she was never sent home. Finally yesterday I decided I better bring her in and see what's going on. I picked her up from school and the doctor(not our regular) couldn't find anything wrong with her. She did a strep test and took a urine sample. She said if it doesn't get any better to bring her back in, and they will do some blood work.
So with all that gloom, I bring you some brightness, my flowers:)

♥ Only 28 more days until our annual Canadian fishing trip:) Can't wait!!! ♥

Last week at the nature center...

Alexis' Kindergarten class went to the Nature Center for the 3rd and final time of the school year. Jason volunteered and took the day off again to spend the morning with her class. It sounded like they had a fun time.
Yes, I realize this picture is sideways, still haven't figured out how to change that:) I took a picture of a picture the teacher sent home.
Looking at the buds growing on the trees
Some type of bug crawling on the tree
Her class in front of the sign
Only 23 days left of Kindergarten!!! Wow, and Brayden only has 4 more days of preschool!

Time flys when your having fun...

Well it's been a week+ since my last update. All I have to say is, it has been gorgeous outside and when we've been cooped up all winter who wants to be in the house:)
Most of our days include a walk, sandbox time and playing with toys we haven't seen in months! Today is a gorgeous day. The forecast said 82:) It's nap time so we will be heading out after that. Although we may get blown away, it's pretty windy!
Jason started out the week with the flu, along with 4 other people that were at a birthday party we went to on Saturday. Luckily all the Lysol I sprayed seems to be keeping the rest of us healthy! He was home Monday-Wednesday. Wednesday because it was Alexis finally trip to the nature center for school and he had already planned on going with. I will post those pics sometime soon, there not off the old camera yet:) Yesterday I also planted a new favorite of mine, spinach. And also some carrots. Hopefully they will grow:) I was also able to get into the flower garden and dig part of it up. When I was at work last night Jason was able to finish it for me:)
Last Friday me and mom hit a few garage sales and then played at the park for a little while with the kids. That afternoon we did a little yard work and then that night Jason and dad went and got the boats:) Jason has a few things to fix on the boat before it goes in the water. It's still a bit chilly to go water skiing so we are OK, plenty of time for fixing!
The kids are enjoying the swing set and sandbox! Abigail isn't so sure of the sand yet!
But Brayden and Riley would stay there all day!
Abigail ♥ LOVES ♥ the swing!
Saturday we went to a birthday party for our friends 6 year old. We went to Pump It Up, an inflatable kids fun area. Everyone had a fun time! On our way home we stopped by our good friends Tami and Ryan's house(Abigail and Riley's parents). Tami owed Alexis a riding lesson, that she had given her for her birthday last year. While we were playing with the horses. The boys were on their own. They were playing with the sprinkler and then in the dirt pile/sandbox. They had SO much fun!
We ALL rode the horses and pony. Tami teaching Alexis how to hold the reigns right.
Tami says she has perfect posture
I even got to ride.
Abigail too... She cried when Tami took her off:) She is going to love the horses just like her mom!
The guys looking on(secretly awaiting their turn:))
Riley and Brayden stepped away from the water and dirt long enough to ride the pony and horse
Then it was tubby time:)
Here is a video of Alexis riding Lady the pony:)

Our Easter

We had a fun time at my Brother and Sister in laws house. On Saturday we were outside all day. The weather was beautiful.
In the morning we went to a John Deere tractor show that my sister in law was working at. Their little boy Nathan waited his turn to get up on the big combine
All the grand kids on the tractor
Alexis in the combine's tire
All the kids in the same wheel:)
My dad relaxing at their home and enjoying the sunshine(finally!)
We decided it was time for Halley to get a haircut and her nails trimmed. My brother and I along with Alexis groomed her. She looked great when we were done. Alexis LOVED on Halley the whole weekend. Alexis would hook her up on a leash and have her trotting and doing all kinds of horse things:)
Later that night we roasted marshmallows by the campfire. Brian helped Nicholas with his.
Alexis enjoyed hers with grandma
The next day was Easter Sunday. We dressed up for church
and then we came home and had a great dinner and after that the kids had their Easter egg hunt.

Our busy day(yesterday)...

I was gone all day and when I came home, my flowers were all blooming!
It's so nice to see flowers blooming:)
Yesterday was Alexis music concert. She was really nervous about her talking part. But she did a great job:) She had a few visitors Daddy took the day off so he could watch, Grandma showed up she took a very early lunch to come watch, but had to get back right away(so no pics). And Aunt Kelly came to surprise/watch her too! She was excited to see us there:)

Here are a couple videos of her saying her part and then her class singing the song right after her part. Play the bottom one first and then the top one:)

We had a visitor today...

During nap time today I was looking outside and saw an eagle a couple lots down from us. It was flying around with a few crows. So I ran and grabbed the camera, I was lucky that it decided to fly into the field behind our house:) I caught it just about to land(you can see in it's feet it has an animal of some sort, I'm thinking bunny?)
It kept looking up in between eating

It flew off when it was done eating. It circled around once and then was gone. It was really neat to watch. The eagle was back there for a good 20 minutes. While it was eating there were three crows flying around it trying to get a bite. I was waiting for the Eagle to take a nip at it although it never did
I was wishing I had a higher zoom for my camera, these were all taken with a 200mm
Jason came home sick today from work. I was surprised when he walked in with flowers for our anniversary(Can't believe it's been 8 years already!) One of them opened up this afternoon. Can't wait to see them all blooming:)
