I am SO not ready for my little boy to not be taking a nap anymore!! Brayden has decided lately that he doesn't want to nap at nap time. He walks out about 30 minutes later saying he's done. He has always been the best napper.
On a sad note:( We are going to be giving back our cat Bonzai. We originally were going to try and see if him and pumba got along and see if he would do better in our house than the previous owners. Who had a lot of cats and kittens. He was peeing on their carpet. Well after giving it a chance he hasn't changed, we have tried a lot of different things to get him to stop. Including daily medicine to calm him down. The kids stress him out and so does having another cat in the house. He has been peeing on our brand new carpet downstairs:( He is constantly meowing and seems very stressed and unhappy. So we will be giving him back:( This will be a very sad day! Probably friday!

We are still here:)
It's been a while. Not much to blog about, although we seem to stay busy everyday!
The kids have kept us busy. They are in swimming lessons right now. Alexis is in a level 1 class with 4 boys. She is having a great time and loves her teacher. Brayden is in a class where a parent has to be in the water with him, there are about 12 kids in his class. I have brought him only one time because I have worked all the rest of the days. Which is good I am staying busy. But I feel bad I don't get to see them during there lessons. They go twice a week on Tuesday and Thursdays for 4 weeks. This is their last week. I will post pictures when I get them on the computer.
Last weekend Mom and I hosted a scrapbooking get together at her house. It was fun to have a day to myself, with no kids or hubby to interupt me. I got a lot done on my digiscrapping and even got my pictures organized and labeled. Jason't two sisters came along with his niece and a couple friends. We had a great time.
Last Friday the kids both had dentist appointments. Brayden did awesome. He sat there in the chair and let her xray, brush, floss and put flouride on them. He talked to her and had a great time. Alexis on the other hand is not a fan of the dentist. Although she finally got in the chair and did eventually open her mouth. She allowed everything except the xray. I had to bribe her with ice cream. The dentist was very happy with there teeth and no cavities so we are doing good with the brushing:)
Last night we had J's christmas party. We had a fun time and even won some money bowling, by getting strikes with a colored head pin. Our friend Jen watched the kids for us. Sounds like they had a fun time. Alexis got to play tea party, her new favorite thing to do.
Today, we did it! We finally moved Alexis down into her brand new bedroom. She was so excited when she started getting all of her new bedding out.(we gave her those back in Ocotber for her birthday) She went to bed tonight giggling and very excited to be sleeping downstairs. We will see how the night goes. She has Jason trained in the middle of the night. He STILL gets up with her to go to the bathroom. Now he told her she has to stay down there and go in that bathroom. We will see who wins out on this one:)
Guess who is going to be 3 in 6 days!!!!!! I can't believe Brayden is going to be that old! We are having his party next Saturday. It should be a fun time. He wants Lightning McQueen, Mater and skatboards on his cake! :)

Another weekend has flown by.
We have both been very busy at work(which is great!). So that pretty much consumes our life these days:) Alexis had a friend from school over on Friday. Friday night Jason worked at the KC's for Ryan. They were busy, and I watched Riley all night for them. Saturday I worked, Alexis had gymnastics, and then I had my Christmas Party.
We had a great time at the Party. We rented a mini bus and rode together up to the cities. We started out at Gameworks for drinks and appetizers and then off to Sticks restraunt and Acme comedy club. The food was great and the comedians were funny, which made the evening lots of fun. Our adventure started on the way home:) Our mini bus blew a hose or something happened to it, not quite sure what. We were just coming into Bursville at the time. We stopped at three gas stations and finally ended up in Lakeville. The bus driver and a couple guys tried to fix it but weren't successful. They said it was driveable so we all got back in the bus(an hour or so later) and drove 20-45mph all the way home. We arrived home 2 hours after we thought we would about 4:00am! Thank you so much Aunt Kelly you are a life saver! (Luke , Adam and Mitch came to play too, Thanks). Well it ended up the kids had a late night too. Brayden went to bed at 1:30am and Alexis went to bed at 3:00am. So they did sleep in a little bit. Brayden woke Alexis up at 8:30 by crying. He fell back asleep for another hour and she was up! Jason and I crawled out of bed by 10:30.
Saturday we had brunch/lunch at Kellys to see Adam who was home from California. We had a fun time. By 2:30 the kids were both ready for naps. Although Brayden never fell asleep. I am so not ready for that to happen yet! I went and helped mom with a couple of her scrapbook pages and Jason took a nap on the couch.
I hope everyone has a great week!

Happy New Year:)
We are all healthy! YEAH! The three of us ended up with strep throat before we left for the dells and Brayden had something else on top of that. He had a fever for 4 days and then he was fine after that. We all got some meds and are all better now:)
We had a wonderful time at the dells. The kids were great they enjoyed the pools and had a fun time with their friends. We went with friends we have met through adoption. There were 12 of us. The six adults, 1 five year old, 2 four year olds and 3 two year olds. We stayed in a 3 bedroom condo at the Wilderness Resort. It was really nice we could lay the kids down in their rooms and then spend some adult time together in the main living area. It even had a kitchen so we brought all of our food and didn't eat out while we stayed there.
Alexis lost her first tooth while we were there. It has been loose for a few weeks, but really started to loosen up the day before we left. She was eating her dinner and all of a sudden she yells "mom look" and in her hand was her little itty bitty tooth:) Yes the tooth fairy found her tooth and left some money in exchange for the tooth. That made her day!
This week has been hard to go back to work and get back into a schedule. The kids started swimming lessons this week they are going Tuesday and Thursday nights for four weeks. Which is a bummer because those are the days I work and I have been booked so i haven't been able to see them swim yet. Maybe next week, I hope, then I can get some pictures of them too.
Alexis also started back up with preschool and always has a smile on her face when I pick her up. She has been working on learning more words and doing really good at it. Today she colored some pictures and stapled them together and made a storybook out of it and read it to Me.
Brayden continues to enjoy his trucks, cars, diggers and tractors. He is learning his letters and numbers and is very proud of himself when he can say all the letters in a book:)

Back to the doctor today. For me this time. I have caught the same gunk as the kids. So 3 out of 4 of us in the house are on meds!
We had a very low key weekend. I went to Sams club on Saturday after I got a massage! Wow I forgot how much I liked them it's been well over a year since my last one, way too long! The kids seem to be doing better. Braydens fever finally went away after 4 days. I really hate when he is sick! So much to worry about with the seizures he has! We are getting really for the Dells, yeah can't wait to leave!

Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year! It is so nice to look around and see the christmas lights shining and so much snow on the ground this year. We have gotten quite a few inches in the last week.
Saturday night Aunt Kelly, Lyndie, Luke and Mitch came out. They picked up chicken on there way out and we opened a few gifts. Fun was had by all! Escpecially the kids using each others phones to text and take pictures with.
The kids really enjoyed Christmas this year. On Christmas Eve Santa came to grandma and grandpas and there were no tears shed. Brayden and Alexis jumped up and down when he walked in the door. Right after santa came we were off to church! Alexis was an angel again in the childrens program she did a wonderful job(yawning the whole time). Then we went back to grandma and grandpas for dinner and to open gifts. The kids got in there jammies. We all enjoyed ourselves.
On Christmas Day we woke up to presents in our stockings. Santa must have thought the kids were good this year:) We opened our gifts then went down to grandma and grandpas for lunch. Yummy it was very good! Then we were off to Emmy and Daves house in Richfield. Just as we were getting in the car to go there it started to snow. Once we got on the freeway there were cars in the ditch all over! But we drove carefully and made it there safely. The kids had lots of fun with there cousins and aunts and uncles.
I can't believe that Christmas is done and now we are looking into a new year! Where does the time go. Now we look forward to our little mini vacation at the dells and Brayden will turn 3 before we know it, February 2nd.
On a side note. I had both kids to the doctor today. They both have strep. We have them both on medicine. Glad we caught it in time so they are feeling better next week for the dells. Brayden also has some weird rash and puffy face going on so we are suppose to watch it and if its not better by monday bring him back in. Hopefully this medicine will work!
Here are a bunch of pictures from our Christmas:

Oh My Goodness!
I am so proud of Alexis we opened up a new book tonight and I thought I would see if she new any of the words. Well she started to read a few of the words and with my help with the others she got through the whole book. This is the first time she has read any type of book I am so proud of her:) I can't believe it, it seems to have just clicked for her:):):)
I am one very very proud, happy and elated mommy:)

I don't know where the time has gone or what we have done in the last 9 days:)
I have been busy writing out our christmas cards. I put them in the mail on Saturday. I had them in an envelope box because there were 90 of them and I thought that would be easier for our mail lady. She must of thought I was trying to send a package or something, I don't know, because she didn't take them. So anyways all of your cards are in the mail!:) Because I was stalking her to see if she would take them or not, and she did today after Jason wrote a note to look inside of it.
I have also been busy wrapping presents, and wrapping and wrapping. I'm still not done but should be by tomorrow.
The kids are getting excited for Santa to come and visit. Alexis has her preschool program on Friday, and then has 2 weeks off of preschool. I will have lots of pictures to share in the next couple of weeks.
I can't believe it is almost January! We leave for the dells in 15 days:)

We had a pretty low key weekend. Alexis and I went to church on Saturday morning for play practice for the childrens mass on christmas eve. She of course wanted to be an angel again(this will be the third year in a row). We tried to talk her into being something else but she really enjoys being and angel and holding her arms out. Saturday night we had Tami and Ryan out for a fun night of cards and pizza.
Today after sunday school we dropped off Jason, Grandpa and the kids at the shed to get the snowmobiles. The kids had so much fun they didn't want to stop. They made it all the way back home safely. Both kids fell asleep about 10 minutes from home. Me and mom went shopping so there are no pictures from the ride but I am sure they will be doing more snowmobiling soon. We need a little more snow though.
Hope everyone has a great week! You should be receiving our Christmas cards by the end of the week if I have time to get them out:)

It's begining to look a lot like Chrismas:)
I am feeling a little better about Christmas coming so quickly. We went and picked up a tree in town on Tuesday. Jason brought it in last night and the kids and I decorated it this morning. I also took pictures of the kids for our Christmas cards this morning. I am making our Christmas card with the Storybook Creater Plus software from Creative Memories and am loving it. I have designed 9 different cards so far and now just need to pick one out. Both kids have picked there favorites now we need daddy to pick his. Jason and I also decorated the house up last night.
