Back to the doctor today. For me this time. I have caught the same gunk as the kids. So 3 out of 4 of us in the house are on meds!

We had a very low key weekend. I went to Sams club on Saturday after I got a massage! Wow I forgot how much I liked them it's been well over a year since my last one, way too long! The kids seem to be doing better. Braydens fever finally went away after 4 days. I really hate when he is sick! So much to worry about with the seizures he has! We are getting really for the Dells, yeah can't wait to leave!

Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year! It is so nice to look around and see the christmas lights shining and so much snow on the ground this year. We have gotten quite a few inches in the last week.

Saturday night Aunt Kelly, Lyndie, Luke and Mitch came out. They picked up chicken on there way out and we opened a few gifts. Fun was had by all! Escpecially the kids using each others phones to text and take pictures with.

The kids really enjoyed Christmas this year. On Christmas Eve Santa came to grandma and grandpas and there were no tears shed. Brayden and Alexis jumped up and down when he walked in the door. Right after santa came we were off to church! Alexis was an angel again in the childrens program she did a wonderful job(yawning the whole time). Then we went back to grandma and grandpas for dinner and to open gifts. The kids got in there jammies. We all enjoyed ourselves.

On Christmas Day we woke up to presents in our stockings. Santa must have thought the kids were good this year:) We opened our gifts then went down to grandma and grandpas for lunch. Yummy it was very good! Then we were off to Emmy and Daves house in Richfield. Just as we were getting in the car to go there it started to snow. Once we got on the freeway there were cars in the ditch all over! But we drove carefully and made it there safely. The kids had lots of fun with there cousins and aunts and uncles.

I can't believe that Christmas is done and now we are looking into a new year! Where does the time go. Now we look forward to our little mini vacation at the dells and Brayden will turn 3 before we know it, February 2nd.

On a side note. I had both kids to the doctor today. They both have strep. We have them both on medicine. Glad we caught it in time so they are feeling better next week for the dells. Brayden also has some weird rash and puffy face going on so we are suppose to watch it and if its not better by monday bring him back in. Hopefully this medicine will work!

Here are a bunch of pictures from our Christmas:

Oh My Goodness!

I am so proud of Alexis we opened up a new book tonight and I thought I would see if she new any of the words. Well she started to read a few of the words and with my help with the others she got through the whole book. This is the first time she has read any type of book I am so proud of her:) I can't believe it, it seems to have just clicked for her:):):)

I am one very very proud, happy and elated mommy:)

Happy Birthday Dad!!:)
Happy 1st Birthday Tyler!
I don't know where the time has gone or what we have done in the last 9 days:)

I have been busy writing out our christmas cards. I put them in the mail on Saturday. I had them in an envelope box because there were 90 of them and I thought that would be easier for our mail lady. She must of thought I was trying to send a package or something, I don't know, because she didn't take them. So anyways all of your cards are in the mail!:) Because I was stalking her to see if she would take them or not, and she did today after Jason wrote a note to look inside of it.

I have also been busy wrapping presents, and wrapping and wrapping. I'm still not done but should be by tomorrow.

The kids are getting excited for Santa to come and visit. Alexis has her preschool program on Friday, and then has 2 weeks off of preschool. I will have lots of pictures to share in the next couple of weeks.

I can't believe it is almost January! We leave for the dells in 15 days:)

We had a pretty low key weekend. Alexis and I went to church on Saturday morning for play practice for the childrens mass on christmas eve. She of course wanted to be an angel again(this will be the third year in a row). We tried to talk her into being something else but she really enjoys being and angel and holding her arms out. Saturday night we had Tami and Ryan out for a fun night of cards and pizza.

Today after sunday school we dropped off Jason, Grandpa and the kids at the shed to get the snowmobiles. The kids had so much fun they didn't want to stop. They made it all the way back home safely. Both kids fell asleep about 10 minutes from home. Me and mom went shopping so there are no pictures from the ride but I am sure they will be doing more snowmobiling soon. We need a little more snow though.

Hope everyone has a great week! You should be receiving our Christmas cards by the end of the week if I have time to get them out:)

It's begining to look a lot like Chrismas:)

I am feeling a little better about Christmas coming so quickly. We went and picked up a tree in town on Tuesday. Jason brought it in last night and the kids and I decorated it this morning. I also took pictures of the kids for our Christmas cards this morning. I am making our Christmas card with the Storybook Creater Plus software from Creative Memories and am loving it. I have designed 9 different cards so far and now just need to pick one out. Both kids have picked there favorites now we need daddy to pick his. Jason and I also decorated the house up last night. Here are a few pictures:

Pictures from the weekend

Alexis concentrating on decorating cookies.

Brayden decided this was better than making cookies!

Oh No Our little gingerbread house collapsed
It's finally beginning to feel like Christmas. It snowed here on Satruday, we didn't get as much as they originally thought but its nice to see the white ground instead of the brown one:)

We tried to get our Christmas tree tonight but they were all out of the bigger ones. So we decided to wait and try a different place in town. The kids were a little bummed however I told Alexis we could decorate the house up tomorrow and that perked her up a bit.

We have been busy making, decorating and eating cookies all weekend. I will have to post a picture of Alexis decorating the cut out cookies. She had such a great time putting just the right amount of frosting on and sprinkling them with the colored sugar. She also helped us dip the pretzels in the white bark.

Alexis had a play date on Friday with one of her little friends from preschool, Gracie. She came home and was so happy and excited to be able to spend time away from home at a friends house. Her mom said that they hit it off and had such a great time. I'm sure we will be seeing a lot more of them together:)

Another weekend has flown by!

I can't believe it is Sunday night again.

We have been very busy this weekend building shelves, putting up trim and staining and varnishing. Jason and Dad have been doing a wonderful job on the shelves downstairs. I need to get the pictures off of my camera to show all of you, but trust me they look wonderful!! Thank you for all you help dad:) It is so nice to see a light at the end of the tunnel. I only have a little varnishing left to do! Yippee:) I hope to get Alexis moved into her new bedroom right around Christmas. Oh yes she will be moving downstairs to have her very own room. She got her new bedding for her birthday and is excited to get it set up. We will see how much she really likes it that first night alone.

We haven't done any decorating for christmas yet. I will have to get that out this week. Maybe get our tree next weekend. I'm a little worried about the cats and the tree this year. We may be picking the tree up off the ground a few times!

We did take a little break from the basement on Saturday night and went to a Gophers basketball game with mom and dad. Aunt Kelly, Lyndie and Mitch came out to the house to take care of the kids. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you Again:) They had a fun time and even put together a gingerbread house. I will have to get those pics from Kelly. Oh yes and the gophers won! Yeah, Go Gophers:)

Another week is ahead of us. I don't think we have a lot planned but something always comes up:) Hope everyone has a great week!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone:)

We want to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a pretty busy week this last week again! It seems like we are always on the go and have lots to do.

Sunday Jason brought Alexis to sunday school and Brayden and I stayed home. Next year he will be able to go to sunday school to. Then we will be able to start going to church as a family of four:) Monday Alexis had preschool, Brayden and I went to Northfield and did some shopping at Kmart, there was a sale going on. After that we picked up Alexis and her friend Kennedy from preschool and went to Medford to make a return and look for tights for Alexis. Back to Faribault and to McDonalds for lunch. I had to bribe them with something we were off to the doctor after that for a recheck on Brayden and flu shots for both kids. Well that went as well as I expected! Alexis refused to take her pants off for her shot and it took the nurse to hold her down and me to pull them off. Both Brayden and Kennedy were starring at her:) Luckily Brayden had his shot first and did very well. Brayden's appointment went well except for a rash that had started that morning on his stomach, chest area. She just told me to watch it and use Benadryl. All three kids fell asleep in the car and let me have a little time to myself:) That night mom and I went to water aerobics.

Tuesday the kids went to daycare for about two hours. We had a meeting at work. They came home with turkey cookies and had to eat them for a snack. Yummy they were delicious. Aunt Kelly called and asked Alexis to go to the Emeralds danceline show at the senior high. So I dropped her off on my way. They had a lot of fun. Work for me has been going great. I am so happy with my change of jobs. I have been staying very busy.

Yesterday I had to work in the morning so the kids were off to daycare again. When I went to pick them up they didn't want to leave.

Riley has been sick this week. He has the same thing that Brayden had. They keep passing their diseases back and forth. So that's why I haven't had him all week. Oh yes and back to Brayden's rash. Yesterday it was still there I called the doctor she told me to put Hydrocortosone on it. That seemed to help along with the Benadryl. It's still there a little bit. She wanted to see him tomorrow if his fever continued and the rash was still there. Lets pray we can keep these boys away from the doctor!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

weekend update

Wow, what a busy week we have had!

Thursday we had a playdate with my favorite Usborne consultant and friend Kim:) She brought her three kids over to play with my three that day(no I didn't have another child, just Riley, the little boy I watch:)) The kids had a great time playing and running around the house together!

Friday was a whole day of shopping. Mom and I dropped Alexis off at school and Brayden off at Aunt Kellys and we were off for very fun day of shopping. We were gone for 13 hours:) We were having a hard time finding a few things:) Although I am almost done with my christmas shopping so that is good! Alexis and Brayden had a great time with Aunt Kelly, they went to watch a movie in the theatre, it was their first experience there. Sounds like they had a blast because they won't stop talking about their day together. Thanks so much Kelly!! I owe you!

Today I was suppose to work but my client canceled so I didn't have to go in. Me and the kids went to Alexis gymnastics club and picked up her fundraiser, so those of you who ordered will be getting your stuff soon! Thanks so much! She is really liking gymnastics since she moved up a class. The other was getting to easy for her. We went home and Jason and dad started working on our wood shelves in the basement. Oh they have done such a great job on them!! While they were doing that Alexis, mom and I started painting alexis new bedroom. We had a lot of touch up spots to cover up so I just decided to repaint the whole room. Now we are exhausted but so happy with all of our accomplishments in the last couple days:) I have pictures I will have to share later.

Family Night at Preschool

Monday night was family night at preschool. We had lots of fun playing with all the toys and reading books. Alexis and her class sang a couple of songs and had us participate in it too:) After all of the excitement we were able to decorate our own turkey cookies. Yummy! They were very good!

We had a busy weekend!

Friday night we had a fun night with Aunt Kelly(Jason was at the KC's working). We picked Kelly up and went to Lincoln elementary school. Family fun night was a lot of fun. The kids had a great time playing games and eating pizza. I guess the fun part for them was eating all the candy that they won! And the two cakes Alexis and Kelly won doing the cake walk:) Thank you for inviting us! Alexis asked on the way home if there would be games and all the fun when she is in school next year. I had to laugh:) We also met all the kindergarten teachers, one of them will be Alexis' teacher next year.

Saturday was a busy day. Mom and I went to Owatonna and Medford, Christmas shopping. It was so busy everywhere we went. We were gone for 7 hours. WOW! After we got home we got ready and dropped the kids off at grandma and grandpa's for a sleepover:) We were off to a Korean benefit in the cities. The benefit was to help support Sharon's house in Korea which is a house where birthmothers live and are well cared for. Including prenatal care and vocational training. It was also a benefit to support a boys group home for children with special needs. We met some of our friends there and enjoyed the Korean meal, Korean market and they also had a silent auction. Afterwards we went out with Andrea, Logan, Rose and Jeff to JP's in Uptown. We had a fun time. We went back to Andrea and Logan's house to crash. We stayed up way to late(2:00am) but had a great time.

Today was a really nice day. The sun decided to come out and it was pretty warm in the 60's I believe. We called home grandma and Alexis were off to church and Sunday school and Grandpa and Brayden were having fun at home. Sounds like they were having a lot of fun and the kids were good for them. We went to IHOP for breakfast and then drove down to the lake to watch the football game with Andrea, Logan and the kids. On the way down we saw some friends(Meejin, her dad Rich and son Jack) from the Korean benefit driving home to Iowa. They followed us to the lake and stayed a little while too. We decided it was much better being outside with the kids on the bikes then in the house watching such a terrible game. We had a great weekend, now onward to another week. Hopefully we won't be back to the doctor!

Oh yes Brayden is feeling much better. He is still on his meds for his ear infection but no longer has a temp or coughing so much. YEAH!!! FINALLY!!! I will add some pics of our weekend when I get them from our friends. I forgot my camera.

Drum Roll Please.....

We made our last trip to the doctor for the week, I hope!

Brayden now has an ear infection:( So he is on medication #4 in the past 9 days. The good news is that he is feeling better. I even caught him running around the living room a little while ago. Actually he was running away from me. I was trying to get him to put his pants back on.

His O2 level is still down but she was relieved to see him give her a smile and look a little better. She wants to see him in 10 days. unless he needs to be seen before that. If all is well then we are going to get our flu shots:( That should be fun. Alexis isn't too fond of them! She just had 4 with her 5 year check up. I did just hear about the flu mist so I will have to ask about that!

Jason is busy working at the KC's tonight and Alexis, Brayden, Aunt Kelly and I are going to go to Alexis' school for next year and check it out. They are having a family fun night. It should be fun!

Happy Family Day:)

Two years ago today we were on a plane flying into Minneapolis with our little boy:) We had so many family members waiting to see our little bundle of joy, including the big sister! Who just wanted to see mom and dad. We still laugh about the car ride home. There were six of us in the explorer with all our luggage and Brayden screaming the whole way. It wasn't any better on the plane. He was just letting us know what he thought about this change in his life.

Brayden has been a true blessing in our family(even with all his sicknesses:)) I can't believe how much he has grown up and learned in the last few years. He is so smart, oh yes, and stubborn!

We plan on celebrating our family day this weekend. Mom and Dad are both working today.

Here are a lot of pictures of our family 2 years ago.
