After Alexis had Gymnastics on Saturday, they went shopping, on the way home they stopped by Uncle Chris and Aunt Jill's house. Aunt Jill had kittens which she put on the kids laps in the car.

Paddleboating adventures...

A few days before the weekend the kids and I took a walk down to the lake. This is what we discovered... Weeds, weeds and more weeds!
Grandma and I took the kids out in the paddle boat a couple times this weekend. Once we got back they wanted to give it a try. Since Jason and Grandpa were in the water removing some of the weeds from around the docks we let them try. They did a really good job, only one time they got a little too close to the motor of the pontoon:) Jason helped them by pushing them back to shore.
It was funny to watch Brayden! He was doing pretty much all of the paddling as he was hanging on to the seat, because he couldn't reach the peddles! The weeds were almost all gone by the end of the weekend:)

The Park

I'm hoping to be here a lot this coming summer. After swimming last Thursday we stopped at the park on the way home. The kids had fun while I fed Abigail a banana, yum yum!
1st attempt at a group picture:)
2nd attempt turned out a little better
Alexis on the spiderweb
Up higher on the spiderweb
We only lasted about 45 minutes before the kids were hungry and it was time to go...
Later in the day all was quiet and everyone looked like this:)
Mission accomplished!

7(SEVEN)

Lucky number 7= the number of these we are now up to!

On the way home from Canada last Friday I called home and talked to Alexis. She was all giddy about telling me about her morning adventure. She started out by saying she caught 2 little mice in a bag. Hmmm, What? How did you do that!? She went on to say she found three mice and they were by the patio door. Her and Bella(the kitten) chased them around until one of them went into one of her little girly bags and she zipped the bag up and left it in there. The other one she trapped in one of the kids toys and kind of smashed it(it was dead when we opened the bag). She was so proud of her self!! A few days later I found the third one. Bella had chased it under the couch. Bella was looking like she was up to something and I figured it was mouse number three. So I lifted up the couch and sure enough there it was.

So, if we are lucky enough #7 will be the last of them(even though we haven't caught any really big ones, yet!)

Wednesday Mornings...

A new schedule, Summer is giving us time explore new things. I have printed out a calendar for the kids and have all the things we will be doing each day. On Wednesdays we have scheduled Library time. Our local library has a story time in the morning for a half hour. Last Wednesday was our first week. The kids had a great time listening to the story teller. She read a few books and then they sang a few songs and learned some colors and numbers.
Here they are waiting for the storytime to begin. I didn't get a picture of all the kids once it started but the rug and carpet was covered with kids and parents:)
Abigail enjoyed crawling around her car seat:)
We came home with 15 books and a couple educational videos. We'll see if we get all of them read by next wednesday. I think it will be close!
It was time to leave when Brayden started throwing a tantrum. It was just one of those days for him:)

On the way home, didn't quiet get them all in the picture.

Babies, Babies and more Babies...

We are happy to announce this is one of three new mama fish
Every morning when we go to feed the fish we count the babies
The most we have counted is 8. We are hoping that they survive so we have more fish swimming around:) Luckily the kids haven't witnessed any of the babies getting eaten by the adults. These ones seem to be really quick so there is a good chance they will survive:)

Art Show

The other night Alexis declared we are going to have an art show tonight when daddy gets home. And for the next hour her, Brayden and Riley all colored pictures and then hung them up on the walls downstairs:) It was fun to see their imaginations at work:)
